Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is read and resized by your own browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else — you can watch the network tab while you use it and see for yourself.
Is there a file size or number limit?
Files up to 50MB work, which covers any phone or camera photo. There's no daily limit and no account, because resizing costs us nothing — it all happens on your machine.
What formats can I resize?
JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF. The result downloads as a PNG so the resize doesn't add a second round of compression on top of an already-compressed photo.
How do I keep the image from looking stretched?
Leave 'Keep aspect ratio' ticked and type one dimension — the other is worked out for you. Untick it only when you deliberately want to squash or stretch the picture.
Does resizing reduce the quality?
Making an image smaller discards pixels, so detail is genuinely lost — that's true of every resizer. Making it larger stretches the pixels you have and won't add detail that wasn't there; for that you want an upscaler, not a resizer.
