What this tool is not for
- •Images of anyone under 18, in any context
- •Public figures — politicians, celebrities, or anyone recognisable
- •Passing the result off as a real photograph of a real person
- •Sexual or intimate imagery of any kind
These are conditions of use, not suggestions, and they are set out in full in the terms. Use that breaks them is use we will block.
One difference worth knowing. Most of the image tools here never send your file anywhere. This one has to — a face swap needs a model that cannot run in a browser. Both photos go to a processing provider, are used for that one job, and are not stored by us afterwards — no copy, and no record of the images. What fal keeps is covered by their own privacy policy. If you would rather nothing left your device, the resizer and the other browser tools are unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Which image goes where?
The first slot is the face you want to use. The second is the photo it goes into — that photo's hair, clothing, pose and background stay as they are. The slots are labelled, and if you fill them the wrong way round there's a button to swap them without re-uploading.
Whose photos am I allowed to use?
Photos you own or are licensed to use, of adults who have agreed to appear in the result. No minors, no public figures, nothing passed off as a real photograph of a real person, and nothing sexual. Those rules are in the terms and they are the condition this tool ships under.
How long does it take?
Around 45 seconds, which makes it comfortably the slowest tool here — a swap is far more work than a filter. Both photos are scaled to the same size before they are sent, so a smaller upload will not make it quicker; if it times out, just try again.
Can it swap more than one face?
No. One face, the obvious one. If a photo contains several people the result is unpredictable, and choosing between them is a feature this tool doesn't have.
Does it work on video?
No, and it isn't planned. This is a still-image tool.
Are my photos uploaded?
Yes. A face swap needs a model that cannot run in a browser, so both photos go to a processing provider for that one job and are not stored by us afterwards — no copy, and no record of the images. What the provider keeps is covered by their own privacy policy.
Is there a watermark?
No. What you download is what the model produced.

Editing faces, or inventing them?
Leaxor writes images from a prompt across seven models, and keeps a character looking like themselves across a whole set — no source photograph of anyone required.
