Leaxor vs HeyGen — FAQ
Is there a HeyGen alternative for AI avatars?+
Yes. Leaxor makes a talking avatar from one photo with sync. 3 Avatar, lip-syncs faces in existing clips with 6 models, and can render a presenter speaking from a prompt. It has no stock avatar library, so you supply the face.
Which is cheaper, HeyGen or Leaxor?+
It depends on volume. HeyGen's paid plans start at $29 a month and bill whether you publish or not. Leaxor doesn't require a subscription: credits are $0.10 each, the minimum purchase is 50, and they never expire. A 10-second avatar line costs $1.60. If you make a lot of avatar videos every month, a HeyGen plan can work out cheaper.
Can Leaxor clone my voice like HeyGen?+
No. You can upload a recording of your own voice and lip-sync a face to it, or use an ElevenLabs voice for a typed line, but Leaxor doesn't build a cloned voice model.
Can I make an avatar of someone else?+
Only with their permission. Leaxor's terms require you to have the right to use any image you upload, including the rights of anyone in it. Use your own face, a generated character, or someone who has agreed to it.
Does Leaxor translate videos into other languages?+
Not as a one-click feature. Typed voice lines use ElevenLabs Multilingual v2, which ElevenLabs says supports 29 languages, but Leaxor doesn't translate a finished video and re-sync the lips the way HeyGen does.
