Short version: SeaArt is a community image platform on top of the Stable Diffusion ecosystem, with a usable free tier and paid plans from about $4.79 to $75 a month. It runs two currencies at once. Stamina refills daily and vanishes daily; Credits are bought and kept, and since April 2026 they carry a two-year expiry.

Understanding those two is most of understanding the product.

What SeaArt actually is

A model library with a generator attached, more than a generator with models attached.

The core of the platform is community publishing. Users upload fine-tuned checkpoints and LoRAs, other users generate with them, and the catalogue grows into thousands of styles nobody at SeaArt built. Anime and illustration are heavily represented, which is true of the open ecosystem generally.

That gives it a different feel from a commercial generator. On Midjourney you learn one model deeply. On SeaArt you go looking for the model that already does what you want, which is faster when the style is specific and noisier when you just want a good picture.

Video generation has been layered on since, though the image side remains the reason people are there.

Stamina versus Credits

Two currencies, and the difference is worth getting straight before you spend either.

  • Stamina — refills automatically every day, valid only for that day, does not accumulate. Free accounts get roughly 130 to 150 daily, about twenty standard generations. Unspent Stamina is gone at reset.
  • Credits — bought or earned, and they persist. A standard image commonly costs about six Credits. This is what you draw on once the day's Stamina runs out.

So a day you skip is a day you did not use, and no amount of restraint banks it for the weekend.

The behaviour this rewards is obvious once you see it: burn Stamina first, every day, and keep Credits for work that has a deadline. Most people do the opposite by accident, spending Credits mid-afternoon while a full Stamina bar quietly expires at midnight.

The expiry change nobody announced loudly

Credits used to be permanent. That changed with a cutoff.

Purchased Credits acquired before 1 April 2026 do not expire. Credits purchased on or after that date are valid for two years from purchase. So a balance can now contain two kinds of Credit with different rules, depending on when you bought them.

Two years is not aggressive. Compared with the roughly 90-day clocks attached to some competitors' top-up packs, it is close to generous. It is still a change in the direction every credit system seems to move eventually, and worth knowing before you buy a large discounted pack on the assumption it will keep.

The current rates sit on SeaArt's plan and credit page, and the expiry rule itself is set out in their terms of service, which is the version to trust over any review including this one.

SeaArt pricing

PlanApprox. monthlyWhat it is for
Free$0~130–150 Stamina daily, no card
Beginner~$4.79Casual use beyond the daily cap
Standard~$15Regular generation
Professional~$30Heavy use, faster queues
Master~$75Volume work

Treat these as approximate. Plan names, discounts, regional pricing, trial availability and included Stamina all move on this platform, more than they do at the commercial end of the market.

Who it suits, and who it does not

It suits people chasing a specific look. If you want a particular anime sub-style or an illustration treatment that a general model will not produce on request, someone has probably already published the LoRA for it, and using it costs you nothing but Stamina.

It suits experimenters, because the daily refill means tomorrow is always another twenty tries.

It suits you less if you want one reliable model and no decisions. The abundance is the problem: a thousand community checkpoints of uneven quality is a research project, not a workflow. Commercial generators are worse at niche styles and much better at giving you a good result from your first prompt.

Text rendering is the other gap, as it is across the open ecosystem. Words inside images remain unreliable, which rules out a lot of thumbnail and social work. The Stable Diffusion background explains why that limitation is structural rather than a bug someone forgot to fix.

How the economics compare

Quick flag: Leaxor is mine. Its image side charges per image with no subscription and no daily reset: HiDream and Flux 2 Pro at 1 credit, Seedream 4.5 and Recraft v4 at 2, Imagen 4 Ultra at 3, credits at $0.10 each, never expiring. Ten to thirty cents an image, and nothing at all on a month you generate nothing.

Against SeaArt's free Stamina that is not a price argument and I will not make one. Free is free. The trade is what you get for the ten cents: current commercial models rather than community fine-tunes, no style hunting, and a balance that has no clock attached. If you generate a handful of images a month and want them to look a specific way, SeaArt's daily refill is better value. If you generate steadily and would rather not manage two currencies, per-image pricing is simpler.

The image generator comparison covers what each commercial model is actually good at, and Perchance is the closest free alternative if you want to skip accounts entirely.

Verdict

Worth it for style-specific work and for anyone who enjoys the model library rather than merely tolerating it. The free tier is real and the paid entry point is cheap.

Check the expiry date on anything you buy after April 2026, and spend Stamina before Credits. Those two habits are worth more than picking the right plan.

Frequently asked questions

What is SeaArt AI?+

SeaArt is a community-driven AI image platform built on the open Stable Diffusion ecosystem. Alongside a text-to-image generator it hosts a large library of user-published models and LoRAs, so most of what you can make there comes from the community rather than from SeaArt itself. Video generation has been added on top.

How much does SeaArt AI cost?+

Plans run roughly $4.79/month for Beginner, around $15 for Standard, $30 for Professional and $75 for Master, though names, regional pricing and included allowances shift fairly often. There is also a free tier that replenishes daily and needs no card.

What is Stamina in SeaArt?+

Stamina is the daily-replenishing currency. It refills automatically, is valid only for that day, and does not accumulate — whatever you do not spend is gone at reset. Free users get roughly 130 to 150 Stamina a day, which covers somewhere around 20 standard image generations.

What is the difference between Stamina and Credits in SeaArt?+

Stamina is the daily allowance that resets; Credits are the balance you buy or earn and keep. A standard image commonly costs around six Credits. The practical rule is to run everyday work off Stamina and save Credits for the jobs that matter, because only one of the two survives midnight.

Do SeaArt credits expire?+

The rule changed in 2026. Purchased Credits bought before 1 April 2026 do not expire, while Credits purchased on or after that date are valid for two years from purchase. Two years is generous compared with the 90-day clocks some competitors run, but it is no longer indefinite.

Is SeaArt AI good for beginners?+

The free daily Stamina makes it easy to start, and the community model library means you can produce a specific style without learning to train anything. The flip side is that two currencies, thousands of community models and a busy interface are a lot to meet on day one if you only wanted one good image.
