How to keep characters consistent across scenes
Character drift happens because most tools generate each clip independently. The subject in scene three has no memory of the subject in scene one.
There are three ways to fight it, and they cost very different amounts of effort. Knowing which one you are using explains most of the results you get.

Steps
Decide whether you need a person or a character
A specific real-looking person needs a trained model and setup per subject. A recognisable character needs only a fixed style. Most faceless channels want the second and spend weeks fighting for the first without needing it.
Fix the style before the first video, not the tenth
Consistency across a channel matters more than consistency within one video, and it is far harder to retrofit. Choosing the look early means video one and video eighty belong to the same channel.
Describe the character once, in the topic
Mention the recurring subject in the topic rather than restating it per scene. Repeating a description at every beat produces subtle variation, because each restatement is interpreted slightly differently.
Generate and compare scene one to the last scene
Skip the middle. Drift is cumulative, so the first and last frames show it most clearly. If those two match, the ones between them will.
Fix drift in the script, not by regenerating
If a character shifts, the usual cause is a beat that changed the description implicitly, such as a new setting implying different clothing. Regenerating an unchanged script produces comparable drift and costs the same credits again.

Why do AI characters change between scenes?
Because each generation is independent unless something forces continuity. The model is not recalling the previous scene; it is interpreting a description again, and small differences in that interpretation accumulate across a video.
Does consistency matter if my videos are all standalone?
More than it looks. Consistency within a video affects whether it feels coherent, but consistency across videos is what makes a channel recognisable in a feed. That recognition is what converts a repeat viewer into a subscriber.
Can I use the same character on a new channel?
Yes. The style belongs to the videos you generate, so nothing stops you reusing it. Whether you should is a branding question rather than a technical one: two channels sharing a look will be mistaken for each other.
How many scenes can a character stay consistent across?
With a fixed illustration style the number is effectively unbounded, because each scene is drawn in the same system rather than re-imagined from a description. With reference-image conditioning, noticeable drift usually appears somewhere between six and ten scenes, which is why long videos suffer more than short ones.
Does consistency cost more credits?
No. Consistency comes from how the style is applied rather than from extra generation passes, so a video with a recurring character costs exactly what any other video of the same tier and length costs.
What breaks consistency most often?
Changing more than one thing between scenes. A character described the same way but placed in a new setting, at a new camera distance, under new lighting gives the generator three variables to reinterpret at once, and it will usually reinterpret the character too. Hold the description word-for-word and change one variable per scene. The other frequent cause is describing a character by role rather than by appearance: "the scientist" is not a specification, and the second scene will invent a different one.
