How do I pick a niche for a faceless YouTube channel?

Three filters, in this order: can you make it without a face, will it pay, and can you stand producing it every week for a year.

The first rules out more than people expect. Reaction, vlog, gameplay commentary and hands-on product review all need a person or real footage. Explanation, storytelling, history, analysis and list formats do not.

The second is RPM, and the spread is large. Finance, business and software regularly clear $15-40 per thousand views. Entertainment, gaming and general facts often sit under $4. A channel a quarter the size in finance can out-earn one in facts.

The third is the filter people skip and the one that ends channels. Faceless content compounds with volume, and volume over a year is roughly 150 videos. If a topic bores you at video ten, the channel stops at video twenty whatever its RPM.

A useful test before committing: write ten titles. If that is hard, the niche is either too narrow or not interesting enough to you.
